After having hip replacement surgery, I was in desperate need of getting back into shape after not being able to work out for several years. I needed to not only work on my overall health and weight loss, but also in strengthening my leg after my surgery.
Joseph completely understood my health situation and was able to provide workouts that enabled me to lose over 20 pounds and developed a program to focus building up my hip and leg muscles. He pushed me when I needed to be pushed, but would also listen to my body's limitations.
Since working out with him, I've been successful in keeping my weight down and am able to go on over 5 mile walks with my friends. It's changed my life!

I’ve been training with Joseph for a little over two months and have seen my body transform and this is just the beginning. I’m the type of person that gets bored with the same routine really quickly and wants to see fast results. Because of that I know that I’m not the easiest client to work with. Joseph has been a godsend; he answers ALL of my questions, keeps the workouts interesting, and keeps me motivated to get the results I want. Sometimes I have to feed off of his high energy to get through the workouts. I especially appreciate the challenging exercises using the stability ball and that he uses a lot of different techniques. Even though I’m responsible for my own health, Joseph helps me stay accountable and on track to reaching my goal. I used to think of working out as a chore, but now I can’t help but have fun. The bottom line is Joseph gets results; so far I’ve lost almost twenty pounds and I have more energy throughout the day.

I was looking for something to put me in gear and get me back in shape. I was looking for something to compare to the hours of rigorous workouts I went through when training for baseball at the Division 1 level. More importantly, I was looking to return to the competitive health nut I was a year ago.
After my baseball career ended, I decided to take a year off; BIG MISTAKE. I was busy looking for my first job after graduating college and put my health to the side. When I did find that job, I gained weight and I could tell a difference in my appearance and overall health. Finally, I returned to the gym, but something was missing. I was missing my drive and could tell my workouts were suffering. I missed training for a goal.
After talking with Joseph, we came up with a plan and I assessed my goals. I told him my top goals were to add lean muscle and to tighten up my core and legs. Also, I told him I wanted my drive back. We met 3 mornings a week and this workout was exactly what I was working for. I wanted tougher; I wanted a challenge. I didn’t want the regular conditioning that left me feeling like I could go more. I asked for it, and I got just that. I could feel my muscles working and my heart rate beating to the max for the entire workout. It reminded me of being back at the University of Memphis Athletic Complex, but this was better. I could feel myself gaining my drive back and I could see results that far passed those I saw when I was in college. I added the muscle I wanted, tightened up my core, and trimmed down my legs.
Most importantly, I gained my drive and competitiveness. Also, I feel healthier overall. I have more energy than before and I am happier.

The past two years working with Joseph have been invigorating. My doctor diagnosed me with high BP. I was prescribed medication to treat my condition, exercising was also recommended. The pills helped my BP but I strongly dislike taking pills. I prefer putting forth the effort and exercising instead of relying on a prescription. My BP is back in normal range and I haven't taken my meds in 14 months. My results encouraged my wife to start training with Joseph. Our lives have been rejuvenated we are feeling great and fitness is now a lifestyle. My golf game has improved tremendously because Joseph always has an effective challenging core workout for me that improves my balance.
